One of our main strategic objectives is to see an increase in youthwork provision across Croydon. With cuts being made in local services, we see it as the perfect opportunity to be working with local churches, communities and also the local authorities to ensure that the provision of youth activities, both social and skills based, is kept to a high standard.

Our second strategic objective is to see an increase in Christian presence in the secondary schools across Croydon. There is already some great schools-work being done in a few of the schools, but with 27 secondary schools Croydon YFC feel that there is still space to do more. Croydon YFC is engaging with local schools in ways that is serving the school community as a whole, as well as working alongside specific groups of young people and teachers.

Our third strategic objective is called ‘Church Unlimited’. Croydon YFC is committed to seeing local churches connect with young people in their area through innovative christian youth work and outreach. Through church unlimited we will partner with local churches, or groups of churches, to set up a series of local hubs which will increase church based youth work in all areas of Croydon. Alongside a focus on fresh outreach, CYFC is also committed to supporting current youth work and training youth work volunteers.

CYFC has resources for partner churches to help them disciple young people (Rock Solid, RS2 and Mettle) and for training youth leaders.

We are also able to support churches to take on Gap Year volunteers and degree level youth work students.
